Practicalities
Shipping and returns
Delivery
3–5 working days. Flat rate Rs 500, free on orders over Rs 50,000.
Rugs travel rolled, never folded — a fold sets a crease into a wool pile that can take months to drop out, and in an antique it can crack the foundation. The roll is wrapped in cotton and then in a waterproof outer.
Loose gemstones ship in a sealed parcel with the stone in a labelled gem jar, and require a signature.
Payment
Cash on delivery and bank transfer. For a high-value piece we will usually ask for a bank transfer rather than sending a courier out with a very large cash liability, and we will say so before you order.
Returns
7 days from delivery, in original condition, unaltered and unwashed. Tell us before sending anything back so the collection can be arranged — an unannounced return that goes missing in transit is a problem for both of us.
If a piece arrives differing from its description, the return is free and we pay the freight both ways. That is the whole point of publishing the condition notes.
Shipping outside Pakistan
We ship to the Gulf, the UK and Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. Choose your country at checkout and the freight is quoted before you pay — it is priced by destination, so it is not the domestic rate.
Import duty and local taxes are charged by your own customs authority when the parcel lands. They are not included in what you pay us, and we cannot pay them on your behalf. Rugs are declared at their real value; we do not under-declare a parcel.
A rug is bulky rather than heavy, so the quote at checkout is a starting figure. If the crated piece prices differently we tell you before it ships, and you can walk away.
